Horses are amazing!

I figured that it was about time for a blog entry in English again. So, we're back with Liz and Andrew and it really feels like home. There's always so much that is going on here, you never get bored!

Okay, so today we've been working with the horses, Zuchie and Shannon got a ride up the hill, Poser learnt that the hose isn't a dangerous snake and Helge (or Moose if that's easier for you) got to cuddle with me. I'm so going to miss Zuchie and Helge, I might take them home with me;) And I'm sure going to miss the happy, adorable and stone-crazy Choco! (Kajsa is at the moment trying to figure out what Liz's turkish delight tastes like, so far no success. But it is delicious! And our fudge we made yesterday is sooo good!)

Anyways I must try tell you about working with Helge, it's THE most amazing feeling when you can tell that he really trusts you! For instance when I was sitting on the ground today and Helge came up and sniffed my hair and put his head in my arms. I mean how can you not love that?! And the fact that if he knows I'm there he'll stay close and sort of eat the grass that's around me instead of wandering of somewhere. It's difficult to explain but I can sit in his paddock for ages and do nothing, and still I won't get bored.

Big boy Helge!

This Sunday we're going to out new host in Motueka! And we're house sitting for L and A again this weekend before we leave! However, right now we need to go and find Choco, she's disappeared! But I think that she might be over by the sheds, there's only one way to find out!

  1. Well I hope you haven´t forgotten our lovely cracy, amazing horses (almost all the time) at home. Lady Q is like a happy running bulldozer and Lady Lisa a bucking bronco.
