In respect of our newly gained foreign friends (read: Maria and Freddy, to whom we also dedicate this blog-entry) we will try out a new strange language we have discovered during our travels at the end of the world. After all, we ARE celebrating our two-months on the road anniversary at this very day and are more and more considering ourselves as Kiwis (the people, not the bird, Kent).
Today we got ice-cream! Absolutely worth mentioning! Although... the vault of Magnum is still locked... Damn it, we've bought more than six ice-creams for God's sake! What are the odds for that??? (The history for you Swedes: one of six Magnums here have a little note on them saying you will get one more for free, causing us easily manipulated souls to buy them in the hope for happiness... all the time.)
Anyway, the treat was from our beloved new host Murray, whom we today have taught how to cook Taco's. Worked way better with the kids than yesterday's Swedish Flying Jacob. Apparently Chicken, Bacon, Banana and Peanuts only taste good when separated, according to New Zealand kids, and not when mixed together as we do in Sweden. Despite their strange taste of food, we absolutely adore these kids and love spending time with them in the afternoon playing "One Two Three STONEFACE!" (ett tva tre forstenad).
If you have ever seen our car Nisse, you will most certainly no more recognise him. You see, today we have spent three hardworking hours cleaning our most expensive treasure. And it almost turned him into a new four-wheeled creature! Though we did find some rust on him that made us a little concerned about the health of his... However, we did get rid of the mould! Swedes vs Mould, 1-0!
Now: movie+cookie. (oh sweet lord are there a better combination?)
With lots of Love
~Kajsa and Meit~
